For those of you who don't know, wifey has been working at Tea Collection for the last year and a half or so. She works as the textile designer for the company which designs kids clothing in a pretty unique way. Every season at Tea they use a different country as inspiration for the clothing line so the clothes are fairly interesting. Because the company is fairly small and Kia is basically the bomb, she does the textiles for the company including prints, weaves, etc. and also does the knit design. I thought I would throw some photos in to give Kia some props. I'm proud of the accomplishments she's made and I am extremely happy that she gets to do what she enjoys and be creative on a daily basis.
The Tea Collection website has more information on the company which is pretty cool. They work with and contribute to the Global Fund for Children which is a rad group.
Stole some photos from the website which give a sample of some of the work that Kia has done with prints, weaves and knits.
I don't know where they find these kids but Jesus, those are some decent genes. Thanks for nothing parents.
Less than a month to go in Beijing. Its getting cold here and apparently it snowed in some part of Beijing the other day. It kind of reminds me of home, except, you know, its China.
(Updated the pictures to remove stuff that Kia hasn't worked on and add in some other stuff)

If there is one thing that comes with age Matthew, it is the certainty that these children will not be quite as cute in twenty years. There is also the distinct possibility that they are not actual children. As you know from your own experience, many of your "cute" friends twenty years ago were actually tiny adults masquerading as children for the benefit of the "real" children in the neighborhood. This was a function of the boomer generation not wanting their children to actually have to associate with not-yet-adults. There was a distinct benefit to having these "faux kids" around (Tony was one) since they provided all the parents with a convenient source of snitching and conducted the necessary sex education. You will come to appreciate this as you produce your own issue.
Uh, weird. Oh, and your comments kind of come off like an excuse for the lack of good genes....
Good parsing of the comment Matthew. If I were you, I'd blame my parents. There is after all a generation-skipping quality to the cute kids thing.
I have returned from Kotzebue this evening, having hung a jury in a felony assault trial that took a week. This was the case of the face-slashing wife. The jurors decided that they couldn't decide. Which is probably as good as it will ever get for this client. We'll try again in January.
Ah, the glamor of being a defense attorney. I'm so glad you could turn the posting about my wife's cute clothes into a retelling of the face slasher wife....
Its almost as bad as Kunan's comment of, this post is "kinda Michael Jackson". WTF.
